model. scale 1|20
3000x350x250mm, black and grey Valchromat.
The work process includes the execution of models in different scales, from the territory to the building details. This model corresponds to the moment when the main defining characteristics were settled:
– the proportion between the new building and the original building;
– the geometry of the containing wall which defines the house throughout the total extension of the available lot;
– the building process, the same material with 2 processes of technical execution: (light grey) colour concrete bricks in alternating header and stretcher courses and concrete (structure) with formwork shuttering on site. The adobe walls of the original house have been consolidated and entirely whitewashed on the inside while conserving the whitewash layers on the outside. After the moulds were removed, the concrete has been covered with a layer of whitewash.
